About every other month, students will help out the community by preparing a dinner (select foods voted by majority rules the meeting prior) and then travel to the homeless shelter, Safe Harbor in West Chester, PA. We raise money by making goods for bake sales, and may also think of alternative fundraisers to raise money.
Students are never forced to attend or participate in any of the activities this club organizes, but it is strongly encouraged that students are willing to engage in the services. We are remarkably blessed and forget to acknowledge the three meals given to us each day. We forget to appreciate the education we are fortunate enough to recieve. But most importantly, we are so caught up in our own reality that we forget to assist the three billion people in this world that live on less then $3 per day.
We hope each student enters the club open minded. If you give us that, then you will leave with the greatest feeling you could possibly experience… The feeling of thankfulness.
